Everyone can learn.  Everyone belongs.  Everyone deserves respect.  I approach intervention using evidenced-based practices to help people move through this world more efficiently and effectively.  I work hard to engage in a manner that affirms neurodiversity and is trauma informed.  Every learner has their program, and it is my job to figure it out.  These tenets drive my practice and influence my approach to provide highly individualized intervention.

When working with communities that support learners, it is of utmost importance that these service providers are taught with the same level of individualized care.  My process begins with records review and interviews to identify the needs of the learner and the team supporting the learner.  Once I have conceptualized the strengths and areas to grow within the support team and the learner, I conduct an observation to fully understand the needs.  The next step is to help the team grow through trainings.  Lastly, coaching and modeling is implemented on site to fully support the team in growing to meet the learner’s needs.

My obligation is to meet the team where they are and understand the learner to best support progress.  My expectation of the learning community is to have administrative support, a growth mindset, and a commitment to evidence-based practices.  Together we can implement effective change.
