Increasing Social Understanding to Decrease Barriers

Jennifer Schoffer Closson has been a friend of mine for over 15 years.  During that time she has developed at least two Autism focused innovative programs, YETI, which uses a consultation model to provide information and support to teachers of younger students; and Mentoring, Organization and Social Support for Autism/All Inclusion on Campus (MOSSAIC) which is a needed and innovative program that matches student mentors with college students on the autism spectrum.

As a parent of a young adult with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and after working for 12 years as an advocate for families with students with ASD, I can't say enough good things about these, much needed, programs that support skill building for both staff and students. It is a critical need for our schools and students and Jenn's skilled approach benefits everyone involved.
